About image spike

Firstly welcome to my bit of the web – image spike.

image spike is an online outlet for me to share my number one passion, photography.

Although I consider myself a creative person, I have never been able to get a proper grip of a pencil, paintbrush, or any type of musical instrument and have therefore never really had any medium for creative output. Then I bought my first DSLR a few years ago.

My current style is slightly more experimental. Ultimately a camera has limits, how many times after taking a photo do you have to explain to your friends that the picture they are seeing, “…does not look nearly as good as the real thing!”.

Due to my inherently geeky nature, I now use various software applications to ‘spike’ my photos, to create a more accurate representation of the scene as it was.

Some people like my altered images, others don’t. Personally, I don’t really care either way; I’m very selfish like that! But, if you’re reading this now, then I’m assuming you’re interested in my work and have come to take a look!

I do maintain quite an open ethic to my work, and to this extent if you have any questions on my work or about photrography and Photoshop in general, then don’t hesitate to contact me, either by leaving a comment on the blog, or by contacting me at the email address below:

Anyway, that’s enough from me, I’ll let you go and have a look around image spike!
